So I have been getting new stash, but also going through my stash and seeing what I can use.

I had two random self-patterning sock yarn with no label and a rather unique colourway (cyan, magenta, black and white). I made two pairs of socks out of them (toe up with an afterthought heel which I loved, anything to avoid picking up stitches from a heel flap which would have been one of the 9 circles of hell if only Dante was a knitter).

So I was talking aboout maybe getting more stash. Well I did not exactly sleep on the idea. So here's me flashing my stash!

I picked up this pile of alpaca roving from the Canberra Spinners and Weavers recycling room. Plus a boat shuttle, because it was cute and pretty.

I'm procrastinating instead of finishing my woven V cowl. It's sitting on my loom waiting for me to do the V part, which is fiddly and finicky and not that fun. It's been sitting there for a week and I've been avoiding doing it.

So I resolved that I would finally do it, went into my craft room and then immediately started faffing about with my stash! I mentioned recently that I almost have one empty stash storage basket and apparently I needed to fill it right this moment.

This started as a quick post about finding what I needed in stash, but became a bit more philosophical.

Almost everyone (including myself) talks about stash in a negative light. Having too much. Being overwhelmed. Stashing down. Making from stash. Dying and leaving all your stash behind (horror).
Oh the horrors... )

I couldn't resist the Spotlight end of year sale and had a gift card burning a hole in my wallet so I went along to the last day of the sale.

AI use statement

I sometimes hand write posts on a TCL NXTPAPER tablet that uses an AI Large Language Model (LLM) to convert my handwriting to text.

I do not intentionally use generative AI in anything that I make but note that I use apps (Microsoft Office, Canva, etc) that have integrated AI. These may have hidden AI 'features' operating in the background or offer assets that may be AI generated and not labelled as such.

To the best of my knowledge any content made by other people that I use or link to does not use generative AI.
